Permanent Anti Graffiti Coating
Nanokote EcoBarrier is a permanent anti-graffiti coating that results in a transparent coating that has a remarkable finish. The coating permanently seals and protects the substrate from harsh environmental factors such as UV and moisture.
The nano-sized, multifunctional particles that are present in the coating result in a surface that allows all forms of graffiti to be very easily removed. The EcoBarrier coating, due to its dirt, oil and water repellent properties, also facilitates an easy to clean function to the surface which greatly reduces the need to clean.
Nanokote EcoBarrier also is highly resistant against most solvents. Used on aluminium or other light metal components and surfaces (untreated or treated), it offers an excellent protection against corrosion.

Background Anti graffiti Coatings
Historically anti graffiti coatings fell into two groups, sacrificial (wax based that necessitate removal and reapplication after each graffiti attack) and non sacrificial. The range of non sacrificial products currently manufactured by the major paint companies are polyurethane and polyurethane / acrylic hybrids. These coatings are moderately effective and do not have good resistance to the latest hybrid graffiti inks containing paint stripper and battery acid resulting in shadowing and ghosting. Polyurethane and polyurethane / acrylic coatings are manufactured using organic components leaving them vulnerable to attack from UV light resulting in poor durability, yellowing, cracking and peeling.

Detergents can have poisonous effects in all types of aquatic life if they are present in sufficient quantities, and this includes the biodegradable detergents. All detergents destroy the external mucus layers that protect the fish from bacteria and parasites; plus they can cause severe damage to the gills.
